PREREQUISITES

COURSE CALENDAR

The calendar will added as a separate page in a few days.

COURSE OUTCOMES

This course is structured so a student will further develop their aesthetic understanding through implementing and analyzing new visual strategies.  Students will be asked to think about and communicate these strategies in an online Discussion of their and classmates work.

TEXTBOOK & REQUIRED MATERIALS

There is no text book used in this course. You will be responsible for purchasing your own clay for this course. This will be discussed the 1st class meeting, but I will include a page going over the places it can be purchased locally as well as the 2 types needed.

I've put together a tool kit that you'll have to shuttle back and forth from school to home. Since we halved the days on campus there is an expectation that you do some of the work at home. Some materials that will be used at home will be left there along with duplicate tools for studio use, but since we are trying to maintain a safe work environment you'll be expected to transport the tools for forming your being loaned to each class meeting.  We will be discussing the tools and what are my expectations in class.

You also are going to be expected to keep a sketchbook of your ideas which will be evaluated for effort and included in your attendance and participation grade.

Note: The tools and unused material that have been provided will need to be returned at the end of the semester.
