Introduction
Karst refers to landscapes and hydrologic features created by the dissolving of limestone. Karst can be found anywhere there is limestone and other soluble subterranean substances like salt deposits. The dissolving of limestone creates features like sinkholes, caverns, disappearing streams, and towers.
